  • Overall, fifty percent of patients currently do not benefit from standard cancer treatment.
  • Markers, identifying patients who will benefit from a certain treatment are urgently needed.
  • The p53 gene plays a crucial role in the way a tumour responds to chemotherapy.
  • The major task of our research group is to set out for the clinical application of p53 as predictive marker in cancer therapy.
